River Valley Outfitters is a full service Northern California waterfowl hunting experience. From the novice beginner to the seasoned hunter. We are located in the Sacramento Valley, where thousands of duck and geese flock to natural ponds, riparian lined sloughs, creeks and rice fields. This is the most beautiful area in California to hunt waterfowl.

The Sacramento Valley is what duck hunting is all about! There is no denying the fact that location is a prime factor in hunting. Why hunt anywhere else?

Duck Hunts in Northern California

After being transported to a blind via ATV, you will hunt out of a steel pit blind depending on your personal hunt. All blinds are equipped with comfortable padded adjustable chairs, heaters and are well brushed and manicured. We take pride in concealment and being comfortable while you hunt.

Our decoy spread consists only of the best decoys and will be adjusted often depending on reaction and weather.

Again for the 2011/2012 Season

River Valley Outfitters will continue to offer dry rice fields for goose hunts on a day to day basis, or for an even better opportunity a two day deal. The fields are in a proven flight path and have had geese traveleing this corridor all season long. You can either hunt out of the pit blind or use your own layout blinds. For one price, with no minimum and a maximum of 6 hunters, you will have the the entire piece to hunt. Please call or email for more details.

Specklebelly Hunts in Northern California

We have over 2,500 acres of dry/semi dry grain fields in the Gridley/Colusa area. All of our property is on the East Side of the Sacramento River and is not affected by the goose closure. All land is privately owned and managed.

On this hunt, you will be hunting in a dry/semi dry rice fields, cut corn and/or natural flooded pasture ponds and grazing areas. It will be set up on the day of your hunt. All fields will be pre scouted prior to your arrival. This will allow us to move with the birds and follow what fields they are feeding in. You will hunt over brand new FA full body decoys and new low profile lay out blinds.
